We had previously written about the relationship between necrotizing entercolitis—a severe gastrointestinal problem that primarily affects premature babies—and cow’s milk based infant formula.

Recently a study from Emory University has uncovered a disturbing trend that black infants born prematurely are more likely to get necrotizing enterocolitis—and in fact die from the condition—than white babies.  You can read the research letter here.
