Ohio Personal
Injury Lawyer Dale K. Perdue
"I'm proud
of this Firm and proud of what we do. It is gratifying to me that we can use
our skills to improve the quality of someone's life. I believe in our mission
of using the law to change corporate conduct in order to make society safer
for our families, friends, and children."
Dale Perdue was recently named to
the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is also listed
in the Best Lawyers in America and is certified by the National Board
of Trial Advocacy. As President of the Franklin County Trial Lawyers
Association (1995 - 96) and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers (1996 - 97) he
has the rare distinction of serving back - to - back presidencies of two of
the state's leading professional organizations for lawyers.
Dale focuses his
practice on complex personal injury and wrongful death cases in the areas of
traumatic brain injury, trucking accidents, and product liability. Working his
way through school as a law clerk in personal injury, he realized this was the
area of law where he could best use his skills to improve the lives of others.
Dale devotes
himself fully to each case, tenaciously pursuing every detail until he knows
he can get the best possible result for his client. A few cases particularly
stand out in his 27 years of practice. One was the explosion of a modular home
that killed a little girl and took the leg of her grandmother. No one could
say what caused the explosion, but Dale made it his mission to find out.
It took two years, hundreds of hours of meetings with engineers and other
professionals, and thousands of miles of travel, but he succeeded in
discovering that a gas leak caused the explosion, and he was able to obtain a
significant settlement for the family.
Another challenging case
involved a serious brain injury. A passing car slammed into a man as he
checked the mailbox at the end of his rural driveway. The insurance company
denied the brain injury claim, and the case went to trial. During the trial,
after Dale turned their own annuities expert and neuro - psychologist
against them, the insurance company realized they were losing and made a
generous settlement offer. Confident of his client's case, Dale rejected
the offer. The jury came back with an award over five times the amount of the
insurance company's original settlement offer.
A believer in community
service, Dale is involved with numerous charitable causes and
participates in the American Heart Walk, where, thanks to his sponsors, he was
the ninth leading fundraiser in the country last year.
Dale graduated
from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1980. He is admitted to
practice in Ohio and Pennsylvania. His professional offices, honors and
associations include: Listed in The Best Lawyers in America; Certified by the
National Board of Trial Advocacy; Member, Million Dollar Advocates Forum;
President, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, 1996 - 97; President, Franklin
County Trial Lawyers Association, 1995 - 96; Commissioner, Board of
Commissioners for Grievances and Discipline of the Ohio Supreme Court, 1996 -
