NexGen Defective Knee Implant Attorneys Zimmer

Clark Perdue is investigating claims against Zimmer Holdings concerning their NexGen Total Knee System implant which has been reported to have a high failure rate. These concerns follow prior recalls of hip implants manufactured by the same company. The NexGen product line has a number of different models. Many of these model types come in cemented and un-cemented versions which rely on bone growth for proper fusion with the implant. These products are not obtaining sufficient fusion and become loose and unstable and can ultimately require a revision surgery.

Some estimates demonstrated that, after only two years of use, 36% of the implants were loose and more than 9% were revised or scheduled to be revised because of looseness and associated pain.
